
Kick
Boxing training improves your fitness.
It incorporates a total body work-out through both physical
and stretching exercises. Moreover, one gains self-defense
skills.
It
is very simple to start training Kick Boxing.
One can come to watch a class, get an application form
from the instructor and commence training. You just need
a T-shirt and a track-suit pants, preferably black.
New
students start their training with the whole class
but special attention is given to them. After one month
of regular attendance, the proper uniform and the basic
protective equipment are compulsory during training sessions.
Kick
Boxing grades vary form White, Red, Green, Mauve,
Blue, Brown, Black to Dan Grades and are certified by the
British National Martial Arts (BNMA). Time gaps between
grades vary according to belt status. Average period to
reach Black Belt status in our style is four years of regular
training.
Competition
opportunities are very frequent. Besides competing
on national level, our club can participate in international
events organized by the Martial Arts All Styles (MAAS) or
the World Kick Boxing Network (WKN).
Training
takes place at the gym area of the Gozo Sports
Complex on Tuesdays form 7.30 to 9.00pm and on Saturdays
from 4.00 to 5.30pm.
